10th Match of Indian Premier League 2018 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad

Dinesh Karthik’s Knights are all set for a cracking match against the Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad in their third match of the VIVO IPL 2018 at Eden Gardens on Saturday (April 14). Going by the record, SRH have never won at Eden, ‘The Home of Knights’. But numbers don’t, and will never tell you the entire story.

When:  Apr 14,  08:00 PM IST

Venue: Eden Gardens, Kolkata

Pitch Conditions

The Eden Gardens track is considered as one of the better batting surfaces although spinners tend to come into action as the match wears on. Spinners have enjoyed bowling here in IPL games as well.

Team News

Kolkata Knight Riders

Left-arm pacer Mitchell Johnson had recovered and was hopeful of his return.

Rinku Singh has had two hits so far, and he has not looked the part; KKR might be tempted to give the experienced Ishank Jaggi or the highly-rated Shubman Gill a run.

Vinay Kumar’s position could be under threat; the Karnataka pacer has conceded 65 runs in 3.5 overs this season – and came in for plenty of criticism for his poor last over against the Chennai Super Kings. If KKR opt to look for a replacement, the only options they have (among Indian players) are the under-19 World Cup winners Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

If Bhuvneshwar Kumar is fit he will come in place of Sandeep Sharma.
