The Delhi Daredevils will clash with the Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 26 of VIVO IPL 2018.
The Daredevils, who find themselves at the floor of the eight-team standings with just one win from six outings, have hit the reset button. Post the 4-run defeat to Kings XI Punjab on Monday, the team’s regular captain Gautam Gambhir announced it was in the team’s best interests that he relinquish captaincy. It was subsequently announced that Shreyas Iyer would take over the reins of the team for the rest of the season, with the hope that a change in leadership would result in a turnaround of the team’s fortunes.
The Knight Riders meanwhile sit mid-table with three wins and as many losses. Prior to their five-day break, the Knight Riders suffered a big defeat at the hands of Kings XI Punjab in a rain-affected match at home. After scoring a competitive 191-7, KKR were blown away by KL Rahul and Chris Gayle, with rain making the visitors job a tad simpler.
When: Apr 27, 08:00 PM IST
Venue: Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi
The pitch at Feroz Shah Kotla has largely been batting friendly so it could be a painful evening for bowlers from both teams.

Teams’ Form in their Last Five Matches (most recent first)
Delhi Daredevils: L L L W L
Kolkata Knight Riders: L W W L L
Gautam Gambhir stepping down as the DD captain, it is now Shreyas Iyer’s responsibility to lead the side in the remaining matches
DD made 5 changes in their previous encounter and there are chances that the team could stick with the same playing XI.
The likes of Liam Plunkett, Avesh Khan & Prithvi Shaw impressed on their debuts.
Jason Roy and Chris Morris missed Daredevils’ last game against Kings XI Punjab. Given the four-day gap between that match and this one, Daredevils will hope one or both of them are fit and available to play.
Kolkata Knight Riders
There is a slight injury concern regarding Andre Russell, who stretched his right hamstring during the previous game against Kings XI Punjab and had to go off the field too. But otherwise KKR should retain the same side.
